- Cedarshed Gazebos & Garden
Buildings feature REAL CEDAR SHINGLES giving them their unique appearance.
- The finish is a mixture of sawn and planed surfaces
which adds to the design giving the structures great character & charm.
- The sawn-board panels have a rich variety of colour
and texture, which is a key feature in the designed appearance.
- The 'Tongue & Groove' inner
roof lining of the Gazebos has a lively and rich appearance created
by the colour, grain and features of the CEDAR used.
- CEDAR is naturally durable, the
tannin and natural oils in the wood are toxic to insects and resistant
to decay, and occur naturally courtesy of 'Mother Nature'.
- There are no "man made" toxic
chemicals with CEDAR. Helping to eliminate pollution of the environment.
- The most common preservatives currently in use
contain Copper, Chrome & Arsenic,
which will ALL stay in the environment for many, many years.
- Unlike preservative treated
timber, there is no need to treat cut ends or holes for screws & fixings,
in CEDAR.
- The framing of Cedarshed buildings
is mostly 2" x
3" [nominal] giving increased strength & performance.
- Cedarshed Shingle Roofing also has a layer of waterproof
'felt' for added protection.
- All buildings come with a solid CEDAR floor.
- Gazebo Decks are made from
2" x 4" [nominal]
CEDAR, giving a really strong and substantial base.
- Many garden buildings are only dip treated in toxic
chemicals, or are even left untreated - CEDAR does not need treating.
- Untreated CEDAR will weather naturally to a beautiful
silver - grey.
- To retain the original colouration of CEDAR, a
wood finish should be applied, CEDAR also takes paint finishes
very well.
- Cedarshed buildings should be kept out of ground
contact by installing on strategically placed patio slabs. This
increases underfloor ventilation, adding to the life of the structure,
and makes leveling relatively easy and inexpensive, no need to
install a solid concrete base.
